Overview

What it is

Stone installation is its own trade: surface preparation and flatness, the right adhesive or mortar bed, movement joints, lippage control and, for façades, anchoring systems and waterproofing.

A skilled installer also dry-lays slabs to check veining, protects finished stone during construction and hands over maintenance instructions.
